**About the team** The Sales Automation Engineering team's mission is to empower Uber's staff to be more productive and successful through our technical solutions, service delivery and innovation. Our team supports many teams within Uber, for ex: Uber Eats, Uber Freight, Uber for Business and Law Enforcement, and others. Our team invests in innovation, new business line expansion and integration with external and internal systems. **About the Job** As an Application Engineer in the Sales Automation Engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing critical features on CRM tech stack, while integrating with internal and external platforms to achieve desired results. This role is instrumental in building features that will supplement the CRM tech stack (Including Salesforce) that will help our Sales & support teams in the areas of acquisition, onboarding and expansion. This role will have a significant impact on Uber's results in areas of user growth, revenue, and global expansion. **What the Candidate Will Do** 1. Build and optimize Salesforce related functionalities for B2B teams. 2. Build and configure APIs with internal and 3rd-party cloud solutions. 3. Design, implement, and ship reliable and well-tested features to our users 4. Collaborates with stakeholders, architects, product owners, TPMs and other engineering teams to define project requirements, consolidated design and execution plans. 5. Ensure that system designs, including APIs, architecture, and dependency selection, result in scalable, resilient solutions that minimize support costs and enhance the user experience. 6. Maintain comprehensive documentation for the solutions, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational support documentation. 7. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. 8. Support QA efforts during implementations and rollouts of new system features. **Basic Qualifications** 1. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2. At least 4+ years of professional experience in software development. 3. Minimum of 2+ years of Salesforce application development experience. 4. Understanding of Salesforce platform, its capabilities and limitations. 5. Proficient in Object oriented programming concepts. 6. Experience working with C#, Java, Go, Python, etc. 7. Experienced with SOAP API, REST API, and BULK API. Including API design, development, and management. 8. Handson experience with Apex, Lightning, SOQL/SOSL,. 9. Experience working with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, etc.. 10. Effective communication skills to interact with engineers, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. 11. Excellent verbal, written, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills 12. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications** 1. Familiarity with cloud & Saas platforms, and hands-on experience with cloud-based integrations. 2. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines. 3. Salesforce Certification for Platform App Builder and/or Platform Developer is highly preferred. 4. Enjoys solving complex business problems through innovative and technology-driven solutions. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
