Donation and Family Advocate: Join our dynamic team and become a pivotal player in the journey of life-saving organ donations!  As a Donation and Family Advocate at Live on Nebraska, you will serve as a compassionate guide and advocate for families facing end-of-life decisions and considering organ donation. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate sensitive conversations with families in hospitals, providing support, information, and guidance throughout the donation process. This position requires a rotating on-call schedule of 24-hour shifts with additional extended work hours.  Job Highlights:  Serve as a passionate advocate for organ and tissue donation, presenting the opportunity as a meaningful way to honor the legacy of the donor and potentially save the lives of others in need.  Communicate the importance and impact of donation with clarity and conviction.  Engage with families during an emotional time by offering empathy, and support around the donation process.  Be the trusted liaison and resource for families navigating the donation process.  Collaborate closely with hospital staff and team members to ensure timely and sensitive conversations about the gift of life.  Ensure compliance with legal requirements and documentation standards.  Qualifications and Skills:  Knowledge of Healthcare Practices: Familiarity with healthcare protocols, medical terminology, and ethical considerations related to end-of-life care and organ donation.  Persuasion: Ability to effectively present and advocate for organ and tissue donation with compassion and conviction.  Teamwork: Collaborative spirit, working seamlessly with colleagues and hospital staff to achieve common goals and provide exceptional support to donor families.  Open to Learning: Eagerness to embrace new knowledge and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth in the dynamic field of organ donation advocacy.  Empathy: Demonstrated capacity to empathize with individuals experiencing grief and navigate sensitive conversations with care and sensitivity.  Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking skills, capable of navigating complex situations and finding effective solutions under pressure.  Adaptability: Resilience in the face of changing circumstances, able to remain flexible and composed while working in emotionally challenging environments.  Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented approach to managing documentation and administrative tasks in accordance with regulatory requirements.  Cultural Sensitivity: Respect for diverse backgrounds and beliefs, ensuring inclusivity and understanding in all interactions with donor families and healthcare professionals.  Live On Nebraska offers our team members a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including insurance, retirement benefits and paid time off.
