Job Description

Compensation: $23.75/hour; paid bi-weekly

Shift Time(s): 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM

This is a part-time driver position with MO Routes LLC (the “Company”), which delivers packages for MO Routes! 

We need reliable, independent, flexible, hard workers who pay attention to details, can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations, and win in a fast-paced environment!

• Military veterans are welcome!
• Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory
• A Class C Driver's License is required
• As we grow, supervisory roles will be available

• Schedule for FT Team Members is a rotation where team members should not work more than 3 consecutive days, allowing for more personal time; every other weekend should be off

As a Box Truck Delivery Driver at MO Routes, you will play a crucial role in ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately within the community! You will start and end your day at the remote truck lot: 2951 Mound Road, Joliet, IL

Key Delivery Driver Duties & Responsibilities:

• Successfully use a manual pallet jack to handle pallets of packages weighing up to 300 pounds, deliver and collect return packages on time 
• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on the Company vehicle
• Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events/conditions
• Keep pace in a physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs frequently; maneuver pallets of packages weighing up to 150 lbs, using a manual pallet jack; get in and out of a box truck repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
• Communicate effectively with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
• Must complete all assigned Rescues
• Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Support the team in daily work requirements, including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes 
• Load and unload delivery vehicles with packages to be delivered
• Drive safely, following GPS-coordinated route, following all traffic laws
• Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
• Report any issues or problems to management immediately

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have 2+ years of professional Box Truck; Driving Experience driving 26' Trucks is required
• Must have an excellent driving record with two or more years of professional driving experience 
• Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted Class C Driver’s License
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a DOT Level Drug Screening
• Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
• Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills

Additional Information

HIRING PROCESS takes approximately 1-2 WEEKS to COMPLETE. It may take longer if you have an out-of-state driver’s license.
